Voluntary code of practice for third party intermediaries

Ofwat has set out the way in which it wants Third Party Intermediaries – or brokers – to act in their dealings with customers.

The regulator is asking for comments on its principles for codes of practice  – which would be voluntary – for Third Party Intermediaries for the new market. These third parties include agents, brokers or price comparison websites.

Any voluntary code of practice would be in addition to the protections set out in the Customer Protection Code of Practice.

You can read a copy of the Voluntary Code consultation on the Ofwat website and provide feedback to info@open-water.org.uk
